Well well well,
do I have some goodies for you, the lucky js.ca visitor! First of
all, I haven't been mentioning it, but Jason's back into a regular spot in
the lineup! And recently got another assist. *applause*
Secondly, our official Chicago correspondent...Jaime has provided us with
a lovely photo of Jason to go along with her
story.
And thirdly, we've recently received another list of 'isms' to which you
can find here.
We
also have a few 4x6 autographed cards of Jason to give away to the most
knowledgeable fan! Stay tuned for more details.

The Hawks host
the Colorado Avalanche tonight minus Strudwick in the lineup. I'd
like to say that I hope the Hawks lose since Sutter's back into his
scratching Jason phase, but this is Colorado we're talking about, the
anti-Christ of the NHL.
There's a new picture up in the
photo gallery. It was found at
canucks.com and was
from when Chicago was in town last week.

Jodi found a
funny quote about Todd Bertuzzi the other day:
Brendan
Morrison on Bertuzzi -
"Bertuzzi's wallet is like an onion; every time he opens it up, he
cries."
This, after making Jason Strudwick pay for both of their pre-game meals
when Chicago was in town...
I
only hope that when Vancouver is in Chicago, that Jason makes Tuzzles pay.
(and has a nice big juicy t-bone with a side of lobster!)
Chicago lost last night, and it's just as well since Jason was watching
from the press box and not the bench.
But on a brighter note, during Monday's game in Vancouver, Jodi's mom said
that the announcers were constantly talking praise about Jason.
Saying what a good game he was having and how he was an asset to any team.
Quite frankly, I couldn't agree with them more!

Yes, I know, I
have been a BAD BAD webmistress. I haven't updated the site in
almost a month. You may all slap me, please form a single line to
the right.
To
update you all on our favourite hockey player's status, he has seen action
in every game since my last update. (I haven't actually checked that
fact out, but I'm pretty sure he has.) Most importantly the
Blackhawks graced the city of Edmonton with their winning ways on
Saturday, and I was there for the show!
Jason had a few excellent shifts during the game. He was getting
pretty physical with Laraque and I was sure they were going to fight.
However they did not, I could see the fear in Laraque's eyes. Jason
did duke it out with Craig Berube Thursday night in Calgary. My
brother, who was at the game said that Berube won the fight, however he
has a tendency to lie.
I
managed to get a few good pictures of Jason at last night's pre-game warm
up and one during the game. To view the new images of perfection
personified, click here.
I
promise you won't have to wait another month for the next update.
January 13, 2003
Jason's been
seeing action in a few more games lately, which is wonderful. That
said, lets do a recap of the 'Hawks little slump they've been in.
(Sutter, you'd better listen up!) In the past 5 games, Chicago has a
record of 1-3-1-0. Sutter scratched Jason in the 3 losses, and
played him in the win and tie... coincidence? I certainly think not.
Get rid of that bum McCarthy and give Strudwick a regular spot in the
lineup!
Ok, I
shall step off my soap box now and let you view the glorious new photos in
the pics section!
January 6, 2003
Happy New Year!
However, it would be much happier if Sutter could manage to pull his head
out of his arse long enough to put Jason in a game.
On a
happier note we have a new story! Jaime was both lucky enough to
meet Jason a few times this year, and kind enough to share her stories
with us. I would just like to say, will somebody please get this
girl a Strudwick stick! You can read all the details of Jaime's tale
in our meet secion.
December 22, 2002
Happy Holidays,
all! Sorry for my complete laziness and the lack of updates. I
have a new picture for you in the photo section.
Sadly Jason was a healthy scratch for several games over the past month.
(BAD SUTTER!) I had originally wished for Sutter to get a lump of
coal in his stocking, but he's put Jason back in the lineup and raved
about his performance, so I'll take it back. Sutter is back in the
good books here at js.ca.
If
you live in the Chicago area and were lucky enough to meet Jason, Sergei
Berezin, and Nathan Dempsey yesterday at Navy Pier,
drop us a line to let us
know how it went and send some pictures if you have them! We'd love
to add them to our meet & greet section.
And
lastly there'll be no updates until the new year, as your js.ca
webmistresses will be convening on the coast and spreading some holiday
cheer. So to all our visitors and the Strudwick family, we wish you
a very happy holiday season and all the best in 2003!
November 21, 2002
Well, I went to
the Blackhawks/Oilers game on Tuesday the 19th. I was pretty
disappointed at the ice time Strudwick got, but what can I do? A few
pictures from the game can be found
here. Thanks to Meeko
of the Canucks
Report for taking them!
And before I forget, pop on over to the
Chicago Blackhawk's web page to vote for Jason as the hardest working
Hawk of the month. And vote often! Jason's amazing work ethic
both on and off the ice is well known, and he deserves to be recognized
for it! Go Struds go!
November 9, 2002
Sorry for the
delayed update. The Blackhawks blew away the Thrashers Wednesday
night, and Jason went fist to fist with Jeff Odgers. Not
surprisingly, Odgers saw the worst end of the bout. Four new
picture have been added to the
photo gallery.
November 4, 2002
17:38 of
ice time last night and an even +/-!! Go Strudwick go!! A new
picture has been added to the
photo gallery.
October 30, 2002
Excellent game
last night. Lots of ice time for Jason, a little fisticuffs and LOTS
of pictures of him on the net today. Well, 3, and they're all up in
the pics section of the site.
Check them out!
October 28, 2002
A new picture was
added to the photo gallery
and we have new propaganda for you to
read!
October 27, 2002
Just as
predicted, Jason has seen regular ice time the past few games, and we
couldn't be happier! Two new lovely pictures courtesy of the
Blackhawks
web page have been added to the
photo gallery.
October 24, 2002
!!GOAL!!
Woo hoo! I think
it's safe to say Jason will be seeing some regular ice time on defense.
He scored late in the third period to bring the 'Hawks within one.
Despite his spectacular display of talent, they ended up losing the game
3-2 to the Wild. I haven't found any pictures from the game yet.
I imagine there will be some, and as soon as I find them, I will post them
here. GO STRUDWICK!!
October 19, 2002
Jason FINALLY saw
action in his first game of the regular season. Thank you Mr.
Sutter, it's about friggin' time! Sadly it was a 5-2 loss to the
Flames. Jason had an even +/-, so that's not bad.
A picture from tonight's game has also been added to the
photo gallery.
October 15, 2002
Not much new to
report in the Strudwick world. (hint, hint, SUTTER!) Jason's
new mug shot from the Blackhawks is posted in the pics section of the
page. Click here to see
it!
September 28, 2002
Chicago beat St.
Louis 2-0 last night at the United Centre. On Sunday the 'Hawks host
the Stanley Cup
Champion Detroit
Red Wings with a chiseled down roster as Sutter is expected to send a few
boys down to the minors after today's work out. Let's hope Brian
Sutter is an intelligent man and is aware of the value of certain
Alberta-born defensemen.
September 23, 2002
Pictures from
Saturday's game vs. the Dallas Stars have been added to the training camp
page of the photo gallery. Check
them out!
September 22, 2002
Two games, and 23
penalty minutes. Apparently the saying "Don't mess with Texas" means
nothing to Jason as he racked up 19 minutes in penalties last night
against the Dallas Stars. Take that Aaron Downey!
September 21, 2002
It's official,
Jason will wear #34 in Chicago. Us here at js.ca are very happy about
this. 34 is his number. It suits him well.
Tonight the Blackawks are host to the Dallas Stars. I doubt Jason
will be playing since he played in Thursday night's game. Go Hawks!
September 19, 2002
Chicago won their
first exhibition game 3-1 against the Nashville Predators, and Jason
logged his first 5 minutes of penalty time! (Greg Koehler saw the
business end of that deal.) We've also snagged
some photos of Jason from the
Blackhawk's website for your viewing pleasure.
September 14, 2002
The new season is
almost here. YAY! The Blackhawks started their training on
Thursday the 12th. Jason is on team B. To read about the first
day of camp, click
here. To see the Hawk's training camp schedule, click
here.
July 23, 2002
There's a new
addition to the media section. We now
have a video clip of Jason for all to enjoy!
July 22, 2002
Do you have a
question that you've been dying to ask Jason? Email it to us at
jasonstrudwick@hotmail.com,
and hopefully we can get you an answer!
July 19, 2002
Some new pictures
have been added to the pics section.
Check them out! Also, a forgotten question has been added to our
interview with Jason.
July 17, 2002
Welcome back to
jasonstrudwick.ca! And happy 27th to Jason! Feel free to look
around and tell us what you think. Don't mind the Canucks graphic
ontop of all the pages. After Jason laces up with the 'Hawks, we'll
fix up a new logo.
Speaking of Chicago, on
Monday, Jason signed with the Chicago Blackhawks! I think I'm still
trying to absorb it all in. It's odd seeing 'Jason Strudwick -
Chicago Blackhawks' together. As sad as it is to see him leave the
Canucks, I'm looking forward to seeing him on the ice now. GO
BLACKHAWKS! (as a Red Wings fan, it pains me to say that)
If anything, this
should be quite interesting because Jason's had a few heated bouts with
the Hawks' Ryan VandenBussche. Time to make a new friend Jason! |
