Notes: In his first year, Trevor won three Canucks Awards - Molson Cup, Most Exciting, and the Cyclone Taylor as Team MVP. Made the NHL's All-Rookie Team, was a runner up for the Calder Trophy, and was named The Hockey News' Rookie of the Year. In Trevor's Sophomore season he won 4 Canuck Awards - Molson Cup, Most Exciting, Cyclone Taylor and Cyrus H. McLean as Top Scorer. Was also named a co-captain and played in the NHL All-Star Game.. In only his fourth season in the NHL Linden was named Captain of the Vancouver Canucks and again participated in the NHL All-Star Game. In 1996-97 Linden was awarded the King Clancy Trophy for his leadership role and off-ice humanitarian contributions as well as the Gillette World Champion Award as the Canadian athlete who best exemplifies excellence in sports and compassion and humanitarianism off the ice. Had an NHL Ironman streak of 482 consecutive regular season NHL games that ended on Dec. 7, 1996 when he suffered a Grade 2 medial collateral ligament sprain to his knee.
